الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية ودورها في تحقيق الاستخدام السلمي للطاقة النووية

الملخص
تعد الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية من المنظمات الدولية التي عملت في اطار الامم المتحدة من اجل تحقيق التنمية والتطور وضمان الاستخدام السلمي للتكنلوجيا النووية لخدمة البشرية وتطورها ، اذ تعد الطاقة المحرك الاقتصادي والاجتماعي الاساس وضرورة من ضرورات التقدم ، وللوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية دور كبير في النهوض بتخطيط الطاقة ولاسيما ان العالم بأجمعه ادرك الحاجة الى تطوير آلية قانونية لمواجهة الاستخدام السلبي والمفرط للطاقة النووية ، فضلا عن ان الحاجات الملحة للدول كانت دافعا وراء اعتمادها مشاريع تستخدم فيها التقنيات النووية ، فكان دور الوكالة تقديم الخدمات لتسهيل عملية الاستفادة من الطاقة النووية في الاغراض السلمية ، وتشجيع عملية تبادل المعلومات والخبرات ذات الصلة وتدريب الخبراء والمختصين في هذا المجال .
كما تعد الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية المسؤولة عن المشروعات النووية المختلفة ، من خلال دورها في منع انتشار الاسلحة النووية بسبب تمسك اغلب الدول بامتلاك الاسلحة النووية ، وذلك من خلال قيام الوكالة بوضع ضوابط حاكمة للسيطرة على تلك المشكلة واخضاعها لرقابة دولية صارمة .
