Abstract

The educational curriculum represents a major turning point in the formation of the learner's personality: learning to learn, learn to work, learn to live with others, learn to be, to meet his expected societal needs, and with the modern transformations generated by globalization systems and regional events that lead to the cloning and crystallization of accelerated social heterogeneity, in which societal values are almost fading. And the master of any educational curriculum in any society must be based on its goals and gaps, expanded its circle or differed with other methods, complemented or engaged, emerged or hidden from those goals and goals. It works to establish and deepen the principles of absolute, and inherent, by rooting its elements in the learner. The acceptance of concepts considered the most important throwing educational curriculum, namely: the sense of identity and rights, responsibilities and duties as well as participation in civil affairs and accept the basic values of society. So, some social scientists know that "citizenship" is a set of mutual obligations between people and the state, the person gets some political and civil rights due to belonging to a particular political community at the same time, it must perform certain duties, in the sense that they include the relationship between individuals and the state in compliance with rights and duties, and also include the characteristics and responsibilities of the citizen. That philosophical frameworks in the construction of modern educational curricula hence became the education of citizenship is an urgent need, and in order to preserve the identity of the community in the face of threats to the dangers of globalization and its institutions .The study problem can be formulated in:What is the concept of citizenship education in the curriculum. The study aims at defining the concept of citizenship education in education and its objectives.The study used descriptive research methodology. As for the conclusions, it is necessary to develop curricula that develop a patriotic sense of patriotism towards the country. Recommendations: - Interested parties to develop an educational curriculum on the development of the spirit of patriotism and citizenship in primary school students in particular, and other stages of study.
