Abstract

The current study aims to identify the level of hybrid thinking among educational counselors and to identify the significance of differences in the level of hybrid thinking among educational counselors based on gender (male - female) and years of service (less than 10 years - 10 years or more).  The current research sample consisted of 200 male and female educational counselors working in the Anbar Education Directorate. The number of male counselors was 120 and the number of female counselors was 80. After reviewing the scales available in previous studies on hybrid thinking, the researcher adapted the scale prepared by Al-Lami (2024) for hybrid thinking, which consisted of (32) items.

The validity and reliability of the scale were determined using the statistical methods available in the statistical kit. To achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher applied the two research tools to the sample. The results of the current research revealed the following:

Educational counselors in Anbar Governorate possess hybrid thinking. The level of hybrid thinking among female counselors is higher than that among male counselors. The level of hybrid thinking among counselors with (10) years of service or more does not differ from that among counselors with less than 10 years of service. However, there was an improvement in the level of each of them with increasing years of service.

In light of the findings of the current study, the researcher makes a number of recommendations and suggestions.
