Psychological endurance among male and female faculty members at Tikrit University

Abstract
The current research aims to identify psychological resilience among male and female faculty members at Tikrit University. It also aims to reveal differences in psychological resilience among male and female faculty members at Tikrit University according to gender and specialization variations. The research sample was selected using a proportional random stratified method. The sample is consisted of 100 male instructors and 100 female instructors. The researcher prepared a psychological endurance scale that included four areas of the psychological endurance scale, which are (commitment, challenge, control, and ability). It consisted of 38 paragraphs, and in front of each paragraph, five alternatives were placed. The apparent and structural validity of the scale was confirmed, and the distinction of its paragraphs and its stability were confirmed. After applying the scale to the research sample and processing the data statistically, the researcher found that the level of psychological endurance among male and female faculty members at Tikrit University is considered high. The results also revealed differences in psychological endurance according to gender, in favor of females, and no differences in psychological endurance according to specialization. In light of these results, the researcher developed a set of conclusions, recommendations, and proposals.
