Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of the training program based on the model of strengthening the layers of cognitive awareness in developing future thinking among secondary school teachers. To achieve this goal, the following null hypothesis was formulated:


There is no statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group teachers who were exposed to the training program using the proposed strategies according to the model of strengthening the layers of cognitive awareness and the physical education teachers. The control group that was not exposed to the future thinking test programnThe research community included humanities teachers in day schools affiliated with the Salah al-Din Education Directorate/Tikrit. The research sample consisted of 48 teachers and schools, where the experimental group included 25 teachers and schools, while the control group included 23 teachers and schools. To collect research data, a future thinking test was constructed, which in its final form consists of 32 thematic items, with two items for each sub-skill. The necessary statistical analyzes were conducted to evaluate the test, such as the difficulty and ease factors, the discrimination coefficient, and the effectiveness of the alternatives. The psychometric properties of the test were also verified to ensure its accuracy and reliability
