Abstract

The current research aims to identify "the effectiveness of authored education in the achievement of the curriculum and textbooks course and the development of scientific rationality among fourth-grade students at the College of Basic Education." The study was conducted in Iraq - Babil Governorate. A partially controlled experimental design was adopted for two experimental groups and one control group according to the experimental method. The research population consisted of fourth-grade students at the College of Basic Education, University of Babylon. The researchers selected a sample consisting of (3) classes for the fourth grade in the departments of Arabic language and science, with two experimental classes and one control class. The researchers ensured that the sample students were statistically equivalent. The researcher used appropriate statistical methods for their research procedures, which included (one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, chi-square, and Scheffe method). The results of the research showed that the two experimental groups that used (authored education) outperformed the control group with statistical significance at the level of (0.05). Based on the results of the research, the researchers reached a set of conclusions, including:
1- Authored education positively affected the academic achievement of students in the curriculum and textbooks course, indicating its influence on the educational process within the mentioned subject.
2- Authored education has a clear impact on students' performance regarding scientific rationality when teaching the curriculum and textbooks course.
The researcher suggests through the findings of the current study the following:
1- The effect of authored education on the achievement of elementary school students in the subject of Arabic language, science, or art education.
2- The effect of authored education on the development of critical reading skills among elementary school students and the enhancement of their scientific rationality.
3- The effect of authored education on the achievement of elementary school students in the subjects of Arabic language and art education.
4- The effect of authored or blended learning on the development of critical reading skills among elementary school students and the enhancement of their scientific rationality.
