The Extent to which Preparatory Stage Geography Teachers Possess the Principles of Active Learning

Abstract
The aim of the current research is to determine the degree to which geography teachers in the preparatory schools possess the principles of active learning. The researcher followed the descriptive curriculum, and within the framework of the goals that the researcher sought to achieve, the research was limited to geography teachers for the academic year (2022/2023). The study sample consisted of 108 teacher in government schools affiliated with the Directorate of education in Baghdad / Rusafa III,. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher built a questionnaire that included 30 paragraphs. After collecting the data statistically, the research results showed that geography teachers in the preparatory school possess a knowledge of the principles of active learning came with a high estimate and arithmetic mean for the instrument as a whole (4.03), that the weighted arithmetic averages ranged between (3.11-4.44).
