Abstract
This research aims to examine the book Tarsheeh al-Lisan fi Ilm al-Bayan (Tarsheeh al-Lisan in the Science of Rhetoric). It is a recent work that scholars may overlook, assuming it contains nothing new, when in fact, these works may complement older disciplines. Tarsheeh al-Lisan fi Ilm al-Bayan is important for learners due to its small size, simple language, and comprehensive coverage of the categories of metaphor, metonymy, and allegory, with examples and a brief explanation of the relationships between metaphors. The author divides it into seven chapters, briefly addressing the topics of rhetoric. The author has divided it into seven decades, in which he deals with the topics of the statement in a brief manner, in which he deals with the topics of the statement in a brief manner. These decades include the division of words into truth and metaphor, as well as their respective divisions, such as single and compound metaphor, metaphor and its types (original, consequential, investigative, imaginative, declarative, absolute, abstract, candidate, makkan), and kanayah and its divisions. He also details the twenty-five relationships of the metaphor, such as causality, causality, causation, partiality, totality, consideration of what was, consideration of what will be, locality, present, and mechanism. The research is also concerned with innuendo, allusion, symbol, gesture, and allusion. The research emphasizes that metaphor, metonymy, and metaphor are more powerful than truth and simile in rhetoric.
