Abstract

The aim of the research is to know the effect of the constructive Whitrick's model on probing thinking in the subject of geography for fifth-grade literary students. In line with the research objectives, the researcher used the experimental method and the experimental design for two independent equal groups. The total sample consisted of (68) students, with (35 students) in the experimental group and (33 students) in the control group. Whitrick's model was used in teaching the experimental group, while the control group was taught in the usual way. After that, a test of probing thinking skills was built consisting of (30) paragraphs in which the two research groups were tested. The statistical program (SPSS) was used to extract the data. The results showed that the experimental group outperformed the control group.
