The Semantic Space of the Poetic Title
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examines the different types of titles identified in the poetic collection Going to Hunt the Dew by Ali Jaafar Al-Allaq. The collection features a sophisticated multi-layered titling structure, starting with the primary title on the cover, succeeded by a series of intermediate titles that segment the collection into six sections, each comprising several sub-titles for the individual poems. The research examines the correlation among these three tiers of titles and the textual content of the poems. The poet exhibits a profound understanding of the importance of these titular structures and their contribution to the thematic thesis of the collection. The research utilizes analytical and interpretive methodologies as required to attain comprehensive results, meeting the methodological standards essential to uncover the essence of innovation and modernity within this collection through the perspective of its titular framework.
