Abstract

France views the UAE as a partner and important player in cooperative discussion. Thus, political discourse at all levels has increased. During 1971–1981, the French government established an unrestricted economic, political, security, and cultural network with the Gulf nations, notably The UAE and France have had a relationship since the Emirates gained independence in December 1971 AD, but some French companies like “Total” existed before that. After independence, French Petroleum (CFP) and the United Arab Emirates aggressively sought foreign partners, mainly France. President Charles de Gaulle and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan built confidence and rules from the start. The partnership between our two countries, and since then, this mentality has dominated relations and allowed them to grow significantly in all fields, with successive French presidents, Georges Pompidou and Giscard d'Estaing, and UAE president, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The bilateral visits between the UAE and French leaders laid solid foundations for relations, allowing both sides to understand each other's perspectives and find practical ways to cooperate to serve both parties' interests and find the best international cooperation method.
