The Translation of the Verbal Noun in the Glorious Quran into English

Abstract
This study investigates, the rhetorical function of verbal nouns (interjection) in the Glorious Quran. It aims at finding the most appropriate rendition of the interjection. It is hypothesized that semantic translation should be adopted in capturing the rhetorical function of interjection. Newmark's models (semantic and communication translation) is adopted. The study has revealed that inappropriate translation distort the intended meaning of the interjection.
