Abstract

Iraq's strategic geographical location in the Middle East has significantly influenced the strength and advantage of the country. This location has played a crucial role in strengthening the Iraqi state. Additionally, Iraq's possession of economic resources and mineral wealth has contributed to the development of its economy and enhanced its ability to establish itself as a regional center. This connection has a significant impact on the authority of the state, both directly and indirectly, by influencing many regional and international geographical factors across political, economic, security, and military domains. The study examined the influence of geostrategic variables on the strength of a state. It found that international variables, particularly political, economic, and military factors, significantly affect the strength of the Iraqi state. Additionally, the study highlighted the role of regional and global countries in shaping regional strategies and their impact on Iraq. Furthermore, the study revealed that Iraq lacks a well-defined strategy for constructing its own security. The prospective condition, as shown by the decline of the present state and the unpredictability of the next political trajectory, was immediately manifested in the robustness of the Iraqi state.
