Abstract

For a long time, traffic accidents and the injuries resulting from them have become a worrying concern for all segments of society, as they are connected to one of the important daily activities that can no longer be dispensed with, which is the use of vehicles in the movement of transportation and mobility. The separated human groups and the regulation of people’s lives, as well as protecting them from the fluctuations of the climate and different weather conditions, but that their use in the recent period has become fraught with many dangers, and this called for studying this phenomenon and explaining its causes and recurrence of its occurrence and identifying the most important points or places where accidents occur and trying to find appropriate solutions to reduce the occurrence of this phenomenon within the administrative boundaries of the city of Samarra. Through the study and analysis, it was found that there is a discrepancy in the incidence and quality of traffic accidents in the city of Samarra in terms of collision, run-down, overturning and the size of human and material losses resulting from them, according to the nature of the population and traffic momentum at the place of the accident.
