Abstract

In the year 2021, a study revealed that the average population size in AL-Mutasim sub-district was 6.6 persons, but the lowest reported population size was seen in the river Tigris sub-district, with just 4.1 individuals. By the year 2030, there was a notable decline in the average number of individuals per household, which reached a value of six over the whole governorate. The AL-Mutasim sub-district exhibited the greatest rate, with 9.4 persons, while the Tigris sub-district had the lowest rate of 3.9 individuals. The average family size in urban regions of the governorate is influenced by several economic, social, and demographic factors. The phenomenon of family size tending towards miniaturization The disparity between the base year and the target year is 0.4 individuals.
