Ibn Salam’s Inspirational Sources of Poetic Image among the First Generation of Primitive Poetry

Abstract
This research addresses the romantic poetry written by Ibn Salam AL- Jumihi who is identified as one of the first generation of primitive poets. This paper tackles the poetic images alongside the poets’ motives, situations and the characters portrayed in their poetry.
