Abstract
The scholars of Usul al-Fiqh have given their attention to the science of semantics and its phenomena, so in the books of Usul al-Fiqh they dealt with semantic phenomena and defined them and touched upon many issues of these phenomena and detailed them in a precise detail that the researcher may not find with the linguists themselves. Among these scholars is Ibn Imam al-Kamiliyah, who singled out in his book Taysir al-Usul Minhaj al-Usul (The Manual) special chapters for the study of semantics and its phenomena. In deducing jurisprudence rulings, the fact that this phenomenon is related to a great attachment to meaning, therefore, the fundamentalist needs to know the phenomenon of synonymy. This is because it is found in the evidence for jurisprudence (the Book and the Sunnah). Ibn Imam al-Kamiliyah also touched upon the scholars’ disagreement about the occurrence of the phenomenon of synonymy in the Arabic language, and he sees the occurrence of this phenomenon in the Arabic language, and he mentioned some of the words of the phenomenon of tandem, such as synonyms (Al-Barr), synonyms (long), synonyms (short) and synonyms (permissible).
