Abstract
It is historically known that the era in which Harun al-Rashid ruled was known as the golden age because of the development he witnessed in the field of knowledge and its arts and the flourishing of all aspects and forms of life. In that era and beyond.
He was the catalyst and motive to write a research through which we dive into his poetry to get to know him as a human being sometimes and as a ruler at other times, and this Diwan is a key through which we can enter the world of this distinguished personality; Which was able to combine the world of politics and governance through its social and political relations. And between the world of literature, poetry, amusement and rapture, through his relationship with writers and poets, and his attendance at entertainment and singing councils. He reconciled between firmness and war as well as between poetry and rapture.
It was rare among the caliphs who were distinguished with such a possibility of combining contradictions, and resolving matters in their favor in every direction, until they made him a center of power. Harun al-Rashid was not a poet like the rest of the poets, and his writings are nothing but poetic flashes stemming from the feelings and emotions of humanity.
