Abstract

This research aims to identify (the effectiveness of a learning program based on the theory of mental schemes in collecting general pedagogy and developing the habits of mind produced by students of the Faculty of Basic Education) to achieve the goal of research, the researchers used the descriptive and experimental approaches with partial control. The research sample was composed of (80) students from the first grade teacher section of the Faculty of Basic Education/ Sumer University, (40) students from the experimental group who studied the educational program based on the theory of mental schemes, and (40) students from the control group attended the traditional program. The researchers rewarded the following variables (age, intelligence, prior knowledge, academic level, cardiac application of the measure of productive habits of mind), and the researchers prepared a teaching program based on the theory of mental schematics, and the researcher prepared two research tools, the first being a test. The second tool is the measure of the habits of the productive mind and is from (32) five-alternative paragraphs. The results of the research showed that the experimental group that studied according to the educational program based on the theory of mental plans exceeded the students of the control group that studied according to the traditional program in collecting the general pedagogy and habits of mind.
