Main Article Content
Abstract
The research aims to show the effect of climatic elements that include solar radiation, temperature, rain, wind, and humidity on winter crop cultivation, its geographical distribution, and knowledge of climate requirements needed by crops. It included winter vegetables that included onions, spinach, garlic, lettuce, potatoes, peas, and beetroot. The province was distinguished by the cultivation of winter vegetables, as it reached an area7043 acres for the year 2015, and the area increased in 2016, reaching 9735 dunums, then it decreased in 2017, amounting to 7575 acres, and the Kufa District occupied the first place by planting winter vegetables and the lowest area was allocated to the Manadhira district.
