Iraqi Federation of Industries 1956-1983 Economic Historical Study

Abstract
In the wake of this great industrial development in Iraq, the urgent need has become for a foundation that includes the owners of industrial projects to enable them to continue the industrial process, to be a link between them and the government and work to protect the national industry, so the Iraqi Federation of Industries was established on June 2, 1956 according to the law Federation of Industries No. (52), and the Federation has worked since its inception until 1983, when it was merged with the General Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce to revitalize the national industry and overcome obstacles that stand in its way through several methods, including sending telegrams and notes, communicating with government agencies, and holding meetings With industrialists and merchants, holding local seminars and conferences, receiving delegations coming to Iraq, participating in foreign conferences and Fairs in order to strengthen Iraq's economic relations with Arab countries and the rest of the world, as well as issuing industrial reports and surveys and a guide to Iraqi industries, issuing a magazine concerned with industrial affairs, and writing research and studies that It sheds light on the industrial reality and how to promote it
