Abstract

Education is a duty and a right that the state must provide to every child and person who is obligated to it and every parent who benefits from his opportunity is bound by it. this right is associated with duty. Achieving them , as it is an investment that has economic and social returns. So education has become one of the main factors in the success of any development. Educational services are one of the modern subjects that enables the study of education as a geographical phenomenon by enabling the geographer, in his own style , to address the subject of education from multiple aspects. To study is entitled the spatial distribution of education  services in any country, city or neighborhood, it must include all the variables and elements of the educational process, including schools, students, teachers, and the number of people. Therefore, studying the distribution of education  services can reflect the set of economic, social and environmental factors behind the image of this distribution. Based on all of these principles, the topic of this research was chosen in order to identify the spatial distribution of education  services in AL-Ghazaliya neighborhood in Baghdad for the year 2018 and indicate the type and number of educational institutions from kindergartens, primary schools, intermediate, preparatory and secondary schools. The multiplicity of educational services calls for the need to track the Spatial distribution of these services. To achieve this, a statistical method was used, which represented in tabulating education data, extracting its percentage and distributing types of education with clear maps to achieve the research objectives.
