Evolution of Health Reality in Syria 1946 - 1966

Abstract
Health situation in Syria before independence suffers from deteriorating in all services, especially in villages. Syrian governments were later interested in the development of health services and institutions. In 1946, the Ministry of Health and Ambulance was established in 1947. The missions were amended for specialists to raise the level of Doctors working in health institutions. In 1948, the preparation was increased in order to raise the general medical level of health and physicians. In 1949, the Government was interested in establishing some disparities in remote areas. Moreover, in 1951, health education programs were activated in cooperation with WHO. In 1952, the Government has served for drinking water, as well as the control of spreadsheet, such as schistosomiasis and consultative awareness, and in 1953, the new hospitals were increased, and during the period 1954-1957 continued attention to health and health services. Tuberculosis Center in Damascus in 1954 to eliminate this disease was working in quality, efficiency and serving many patients throughout For Syrian cities.
