Positive Behavior of Educational Counselors

Abstract
The aim of the research is to identify the level of positive behavior of male and female counselors in Kirkuk. The research community included male and female counselors in Kirkuk for the academic year (2021-2022), which numbered (300) male and female counselors, amounting to (134) male and female counsellors, (166) female counsellors, and (126) male and counselors. Of those with service (less than 10 years) and (174) men and women with service (more than 10 years), a sample of this community was selected, which numbered (150) men and women, (83) mentors who have service (less than 10 years) and (87) counselors who have service (more than 10 years). In order to achieve the objectives of the research, a positive behavior scale was built in its initial form of (38) items. A paragraph is developed of five alternatives, and the scale was presented to a group of experts and arbitrators, and based on their opinions, (4) paragraphs were deleted and (3) paragraphs were modified, and thus the number of paragraphs of the scale became (38) paragraphs, and the scale was applied to a sample consisting of (30) students. In order to ensure the clarity of the paragraphs and to calculate the average response time, which amounted to (38) minutes, and the scale was also applied to another sample of (100) male and female counselors to calculate the distinction of paragraphs. The validity of each paragraph in the total degree, and it was found that all the paragraphs were distinct, and the stability of the scale was calculated using the re-test method, and the stability coefficient was equal to (0.89), respectively. Thus, the scale became in its final form consisting of (38) paragraphs, and after processing the research data, the research showed the following results:
- Male and female counselors enjoy a high level of positive behavior and statistical significance.
2- The sample counselors have a higher level of positive behavior than the counselors.
3- Men and women counselors with a number of years of service (more than 10 years) have a higher level of positive behavior than their colleagues who have a number of years of service (less than 10 years).
In light of these results, the researcher developed a set of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.
