Abstract
The research tagged (the historical place in the poetry of Hizebr Mahmoud) shows this place and its role in the poetic texts, which took different methods in order to build a distinctive poetic image. Most of these texts, from ancient times, depended on the spatio-historical heritage. It is a witness to many events and changes, for example, the ruined homes of the lovers, and it entered the literary arena under the name “Standing on the ruins,” meaning standing on the remains of the place after the departure of its people, and this phenomenon is one of the deepest spatial phenomena, the poetic text calls for that. The texts of Hizebr Mahmoud enter in intersexuality with the place engraved in the individual and collective memory and deepen the meaning of the text.
The research found that the historical place has two images: the first is an actual seen image, that is, it is a realistic image that refers to the living place itself, and the other is an imaginary image that interacts with the textual elements (character, time, and event) and participates in building the text.
The historical place represents an eternal reality in the conscience of the poetic text, as it is an important aspect of the heritage, and a rich tributary of artistic tributaries to which poetic texts, ancient and modern, respond, because of that place of effective connotations since long time until now.
