Abstract

Data were taken from five selected stations from Iraq (Mosul, Baghdad, Al-Rutba, Al-Hayy and Basra) and the rainfall system was studied there to determine the extent of the fluctuation of rainfall in those stations. By collecting monthly and annual data for a period of (30) years and extracting the standard deviation, as well as extracting models (dry, moderate and wet). The study showed that the Mosul station had the highest stations in the amount of rainfall and the lowest station was Al-Rutba station, where the wet model recorded the highest values ​​in the Mosul station. The dry model had the lowest value, while the wet station recorded the lowest values ​​in the wet model and the highest value in the dry model.
