The Effect of the Listening Triangle Strategy on Acquiring Geographical Concepts for the Fourth Grade Literary Students

Abstract
The current research aims to identify the effect of the listening triangle strategy in acquiring and retaining geographical concepts for fourth-grade literary students for the academic year (2019-2020).
The researcher used the experimental design with two equal groups with a post-test and the research sample consisted of (65) students who were deliberately chosen by the researcher from the research community, divided into two groups, with (33) students in the experimental group and (32) students in the control group, and the researcher rewarded between these two groups In a number of variables: The chronological age in months, the degree of the previous information test, the general average for the third intermediate grade, the intelligence test, and the parents’ academic achievement. Achieving the goal of the research required the presence of a test tool for acquiring concepts in the geography subject for the fourth literary grade prepared by the researcher himself and its validity and stability were verified, and when processing data. Statistically, the results showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the students in the experimental group and the students in the control group and in favor of the experimental group. In light of the results and conclusions, the researcher presented a number of recommendations and suggestions, including: Work to encourage educational institutions and research centers to adopt active learning strategies, including the listening triangle strategy for its important role in imparting scientific material and developing the mental aspects of students, and conducting a study to find out the effect of the idea filtering strategy in acquiring geographical concepts for students of the fifth literary grade.
