The Effect of Ady and Shire Model on Fourth Grade Students' Achievement in Physics

Abstract
The aim of the research was to identify the effect of the Adey and shayer model on the achievement of students in the fourth grade of physics. The sample was consisted of (148) fourth grade students of the academic year (2017 - 2018) selected from the research community in the preparatory schools for boys and girls. However, the researchers distributed the sample to four equal groups in a number of variables by two experimental groups of males and females studied the material according to the Adey and shayer model. Two male and female officers also studied the same material in the usual way. In order to achieve the objective of the research and its hypotheses, the researchers prepared an achievement test in the physics subject, in the final form of (36) substantive paragraphs of the type of matching, complementing and multiple choice. The test was characterized by honesty and consistency (0.85), as well as the cykometric characteristics of the level of difficulty and force discrimination and the effectiveness of alternatives to the wrong paragraphs. All of them were within the acceptable range. In order to implement the research experiment, the researchers prepared a number of teaching plans according to the Adey and shayer model and the usual method. The experiment began on Sunday, 11/3/2018, by assigning the teachers in both schools according to the study plans. After the experiment ended on Tuesday (8/5/2018), the researchers applied the research means to the sample on 9/10/10/2018. According to the statistical data collection and analysis using the ANOVA-2way test, the following results were obtained:
1. There is a statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the average achievement of the experimental and the experimental groups in physics due to the method variable (Adey and shayer model) and for the two experiments.
2. There is no statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the average achievement of the members of the experiment and the experimental groups in physics due to the gender variable and the interaction between it and the method.
