Abstract

This study aims to map the population densities in Salah al-Din Governorate, which is located in the north-central part of Iraq between longitudes (16o, 32o, 42o-11o, 59o, 44o) to the east and two latitudes (23°, 21°, 33° - 33°, 41°, 35°) north. Its total area is 24358.80 square kilometers. The governorate's population census data for 2022 AD and agricultural workers' numbers were used to calculate population densities. Total study area productivity (6026.8) people/km 2. The report suggested many answers and suggestions. The detection of spatial variation and its highlighting of each type of population density encourage the researcher to propose some modest solutions that may help solve the study area's high population density and variation. This research suggests providing all sorts of services and distributing them evenly, particularly on the periphery of district centers, to alleviate population pressure in municipal units.
