Problems of Color Perception in the Map of Salah al-Din Governorate

Abstract
The study aims to investigate the problems related to the one who reads the geographical plan. These problems are mainly concerned with eyesight, psychological state, age, and cultural background. Choosing Salah al-Din governorate as a sample, the study is mainly concerned with its plan and the way colors are used to differentiate terrain as well as natural and human phenomena.
The target group of the study entails adults, middle and young people. Furthermore, the study equally addresses males and females belonging to different cultural classes. The study follows the quantitative approach which main tools are questionnaires that are designed according to certain priorities and categories such as sex, age, cultural levels, aesthetic elements and perception. These different priorities and categories are all useful in identifying the main findings of the study.
