Abstract
The present study deals with a very important issue that represents a fundamental challenge with political, economic and security dimensions. International relations are no longer dependent on historical and civilized development, geographical neighborhood or religious similarity between countries, but rather have become the course of relations and policies between countries. The water relations of the waters of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers among Turkey, Iraq and Syria represent a model for the water crisis in the Middle East as a whole. Among the most important reasons that will lead to tension with Turkey is the lack of cooperation between the countries of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, each country attempt to monopolize water, and the absence of common interests or binding international agreements regulating the joint use of water. And the Arab countries, especially Syria and Iraq, in addition to the Israeli presence and its water ambitions in the region. Hence, this research will attempt to explore and review the water situation in the countries of the Middle East and its impact on the development of relations among the countries of the region and the countries of the Middle East, especially Iraq, and this has an impact on development.
