الملخص
أدت المملكة العربية السعودية دوراً أساسياً في الوقوف أمام التحديات الفكرية التي واجهت العالم الإسلامي بإطلاقها مشروع وفكرة التضامن الإسلامي بين الشعوب الإسلامية, والسعي إلى توحيدها وتصحيح معتقداتها وقيمها وسلوكها, متوسلة في سبيل تحقيق هدفها وسائل عدة كان من بينها إرسال الدعاة والعلماء الفاعلين والقادرين على التغيير, لنشر رسالة المبادئ الإنسانية والقيم الحضارية, وهي الرسالة ذاتها التي حملت فكرة الأخذ والعطاء مع الشعوب الأخرى, فضلاً عن إنها رسالة قائمة على المرونة في إقامة العلاقات مع الغير, سواء كانت تلك الدول إسلامية أو غير إسلامية, وكان محمد محمود الصواف احد الدعاة الذين مثلوا مشروعها أفريقيا وشمالها وجنوب شرق أسيا للمدة من عام 1967 وحتى عام 1973, وقد نجح الصواف في إزالة العديد من المعوقات الفكرية والثقافية والدينية التي وقفت عثرة أمام توحيد المسلمين هناك وتجمعهم, وقد أثرت طبيعة خطابه المتزن بشكل كبير في تلك البعثات لأنها لامست واقع المجتمعات التي زارها, وجعلته اقدر على تحقيق التفاهم والحوار الجاد فيما بينه وبين المسلمين وغيرهم.
