Domestic Violence and Its Impact on the Self-image of Adolescent Girls in Nineveh Governorate

Abstract
The aim of the current research is to discover the impact of domestic violence directed at adolescent girls. Moreover, the research aims at identifying the self-image - realism the idealism among adolescents. The sample of the research consisted of (400) intermediate school student.
The researcher prepared each of the two measures of domestic violence, consisting (40) items and the self-image scale of (36) items. Honesty and Consistency calculated and the items were calculated for both scales. The study found the domestic violence had a negative impact on self-image.
