Abstract

Human beings have been interested in knowing drug and its importance since ancient times. They discovered, by nature, medicine that treats their simple diseases and since then Man has been researching what he uses in treating different types of pain and diseases—a matter that marked various civilizations like Egyptian, Iraqi, Chinese, Indian, Greek, and other ancient civilizations that are full of many medical sciences and knowledge. In the field of medicine and pharmacy, and with the appearance of Islam a new phase of interest in medicine and pharmacy begun. Islam urged Muslims to seek knowledge and give science the prestigious status and honor to scientists. The Islamic world witnessed the emergence of the school of pharmacy, which resigned and separated from medicine, and testified to the scholars of the Islamic era with their ingenuity in the art of preparing medicine, and the establishment of private pharmacies to sell it. The contributions of Arab and Muslim doctors and pharmacists were clear to Qassi and Dani, which reflected the progress and development of the sciences of medicine and pharmacy; they were promoted through their studies, writings and innovations for many pharmaceutical and other pharmaceutical suppalling, which had a significant impact in the development of pharmacology.
