The Britain-Maori Wars (1840-1870): A Historical Study

Abstract
Britain ambitions in Newzealand began in Search of Precious metals and rich mines. It sent several missions to consolidate Britain influence and establish missionary and economic centers and work to establish Britain settlement in order to seize the land of the main owners. Because of this, the result was a war between the two parties during which Britain gained control of Newzealand to strengthen its influence in the Pacific region and to work on the country through the establishment of inter provincial transport network for easy movement within the country and stimulate the economy.
