Statistical Climatic Analysis of Minimum Temperature and Frost Days in Al-Hawija District
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research follows a logical sequence that begins from a general perspective and moves toward specific details. It starts by defining the geographical scope of Al-Hawija district and a time frame spanning three decades, then proceeds directly to the practical application by monitoring major thermal variables. The study proves a continuous, gradual increase in minimum temperatures attributed to the effects of global warming and climate change, which is particularly evident in Iraq. From this general rise, the researcher delves into the phenomenon of climatic fluctuation, explaining that despite the general warming of the atmosphere, thermal values have become more extreme and scattered, which accounts for the occurrence of sudden and severe cold waves.
Subsequently, the research explores the details of the frost phenomenon, analyzing it chronologically by confining it to the winter months, specifically January as the peak of this occurrence.
