Intellectual Immunity and Its Relationship with Cognitive Motivation among Students of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul

Abstract
This research aims to examine the levels of intellectual immunity and cognitive motivation among students of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, and to explore the relationship between these two variables. It also investigates significant differences based on gender and academic level. The study employed a descriptive correlational method, utilizing two tools: an Intellectual Immunity Scale (30 items) and a Cognitive Motivation Scale (25 items), administered to a randomly selected sample of 116 students، Findings revealed that both intellectual immunity and cognitive motivation levels were high among students, with statistically significant differences in favor of males and fourth-year students. Furthermore, a strong and positive correlation between intellectual immunity and cognitive motivation was detected.
