Emotional Understanding among University Students

Abstract
The study aimed to:
- Identify the emotional understanding variables among university students.
- Identify the significance of statistically significant differences in the emotional understanding variable according to university level and gender (male-female).
- Identify the significance of statistically significant differences of the change in emotional understanding among university students according to specialization (scientific-humanitarian).
The researcher adopted a descriptive description, which is one of the most widely used methods, and to record any phenomenon as there is no value and descriptions of the phenomenon you prefer. The current research community consists of students from the colleges of Tikrit University, morning studies. They were 7049 students to discover it distributed over (22) colleges, with (12) scientific colleges and (10) humanitarian colleges. The number of students in scientific colleges reached (2650) students of humanitarian colleges (4399). The number of male reached was (4075) and the number of female students was (2974). The data were obtained from the Student Affairs Department at Tikrit University for the academic year 2024-2025. In order to achieve the goals of this study, the researcher developed an educational tool to measure the first variable, emotional understanding, consisting of 34 paragraphs. After collecting the sample questionnaires, the data was studied using the SPSS statistical program. Statistical calculations were used (t-test for two independent samples, Pearson's correlation with Cronbach's alpha equation, t-test for one sample). The results of the current study are as follows:
