Abstract

    This research aims to study the awareness of workers in employing soft skills in institutions for the deaf and hard of hearing and its relationship to sustainable competitiveness and some demographic variables. The tools included a general data form for workers and their families, a questionnaire to measure workers’ employment of soft skills in its dimensions, and a questionnaire for the sustainable competitiveness of the institution. The study sample consisted of (80) teachers, specialists, and administrators in institutions for the care and education of the deaf and hard of hearing. They were selected randomly from deaf institutions in Menoufia Governorate, Egypt. The descriptive analytical approach was used. After collecting the data, it was tabulated, tabulated, and statistically analyzed using the SPSS Ver. program. 25. The results revealed a correlation at the level of (0.01) between employees' awareness of employing soft skills and the sustainable competitiveness of institutions for the deaf and hard of hearing. The results also revealed statistically significant differences between the average scores of employees regarding the employment of soft skills in institutions for the deaf and hard of hearing, in all its dimensions, and the sustainable competitiveness of institutions according to (place of residence, age, years of experience, type of employment, number of training courses, educational level of employees, monthly income). The study recommends the importance of incorporating soft skills into training programs for employees in institutions for the deaf and hard of hearing, given their pivotal role in enhancing the competitiveness of institutions.
