A proposed guidance program using the cognitive restructuring method to confront intellectual extremism among university students

Abstract
The current research aims to identify a proposed counseling program using cognitive restructuring to confront intellectual extremism among university students. The researchers adopted the Al-Dosari and Harasha scale (2020), which consists of 40 items distributed across five dimensions. The statistical properties of the scale were extracted, including apparent validity, construct validity, and reliability.
The researchers designed a proposed counseling program using cognitive restructuring for the purposes of the study, which consisted of 13 sessions, with two sessions per week, each lasting 45 minutes. The data was processed using the SPSS program. The researchers achieved the research objective by developing a proposed counseling program using cognitive restructuring to confront intellectual extremism among university students.
