Logical Mental Trial Among University Students

Abstract
The logical rational trial is a process of settlements, decisions or judgments that emerge during the investigation process or at its conclusion and decides what was not decided before or what was problematic in one way or another. Every action, affirmation or artistic work is considered a rational trial, and to understand the concept of logical rational trial more precisely, the current research aims to identify:
1.The logical rational trial among university students.
2.The difference in logical rational trial according to the variables of gender (males - females), and specialization (scientific - humanities).
The research sample consisted of (400) male and female students from Al-Mustansiriya University (morning studies) for the academic year (2024-2023) of both genders (males - females) and specialization (scientific - humanities).
To achieve the objectives of the current research, the logical rational judgment test of (Jaafar 2017) was adopted, which is based on the theory of (Lipman), as the test consists of (16) hypothetical situations distributed over the fields of logical rational judgment, and each hypothetical situation has three alternatives. After verifying the validity of the test and statistically analyzing the data, the current research reached the following results:
1.The research sample enjoys logical rational judgment.
2.There is no statistically significant difference in logical rational judgment according to the gender variables, there is a statistically significant difference according to the specialization variables and in favor of the scientific specialization.
