Social welfare indicators for residential eighborhoods in Samarra city
Main Article Content
Abstract
The residential neighborhoods of the city of Samarra, with a total monthly income of 12,770 dinars covering 148 families included in the study sample, have shown that there is a variation in the educational level of heads of households in the city of Samarra. This variation can impact the achievement of family welfare and the growth of its educational and health status. This results from stability in housing units, improvement in recreational and living conditions, an increase in individual income, and a reduction in unemployment. The Al-Sikkah neighborhood recorded the highest educational level among all neighborhoods, with the rates of illiteracy, primary, and intermediate education reaching (11.0%). The study proved the existence of a statistically significant relationship at a significance level of (0.000), which is less than (0.01), indicating a variation between income rank and type of economic activity. Additionally, there is no statistically significant relationship at a significance level of (0.441), as it is greater than (0.05), between income and the population outside the workforce under 15 and over 65 years old.
