Visual Pollution in Sulaymaniyah

Abstract
The study aims to investigate the problem of visual pollution in the city of Sulaymaniyah, as the manifestations of visual pollution reduce the aesthetic of this city, affecting the beauty of its nature and its attraction to tourists. The researcher conducted a field study and took photos to detect the problem of visual pollution at the study site so as to reduce this phenomenon that threatens the urban future in Sulaymaniyah. The study examined several sites in this city including public roads, health places, and markets, as well as the study found the presence of visual pollution represented by uncomfortable views to the eye such as street congestion and the accumulation of waste in some areas and the presence of non-pet animals are widespread, especially in residential areas. In addition, the study found the presence of some dilapidated buildings.
