Abstract

The study aims to identify the factors and processes that continuously alter the surface appearance of the land and their impact on the utilization of residential and agricultural areas. It employs equations to quantify the extent of changes occurring in the study area, acknowledging that these changes can have both positive and negative effects. The research addresses the negative consequences and challenges arising from physical weathering and wind erosion, particularly in the study area, which is characterized as a dry region susceptible to active wind erosion and physical weathering. This leads to the central research problem: the instability of the surface and the soil being eroded by the wind. We propose several solutions utilizing modern equations, satellite imagery, geographic information systems (GIS), and remote sensing to mitigate the negative impacts of physical weathering and wind erosion while reducing erosion processes. The research encompasses two main components: the first focuses on the study of physical weathering, its activity, and its effects, while the second examines wind erosion and employs equations to determine erosion levels in the study area.
