The Aesthetic Value of the Cultural Heritage in the Attire of Iraqi University Students' Graduation Ceremonies

Abstract
Considering fashion as both a cultural heritage and a reflection of ancient history, this research examines the aesthetic value of cultural heritage in the graduation ceremony fashion of Iraqi university students,. This documentary source illustrates the variations in customs and traditions across countries and the transmission of culture between generations. The examination of these fashions holds aesthetic significance and serves as a crucial historical record. This study utilizes a descriptive analytical approach to examine the graduation ceremony attire of Iraqi university students, featuring a total of 12 models. Three sample models were deliberately chosen from that collection for analysis, after which the research tool was applied and the samples were evaluated. The study concludes that fashion underscores cultural heritage and effectively communicates notions of national identity and its aesthetic significance to the recipient. Colors manifested in various forms depending on regional characteristics and environmental influences. The Kurdish costume featured bright colors, the Iraqi abaya was characterized by black, and the Baghdad costume incorporated olive tones.
