Pragmatics of the Digital Landscape in Iraqi Theatrical Show
Main Article Content
Abstract
Pragmatics focuses on the examination of relationships within the actual contexts or communicative functions. This field has significantly influenced the artistic aesthetics of theater and the appreciation of its style, thereby impacting contemporary culture. It has played a crucial role in revitalizing theatrical language, particularly in relation to visual (digital) language. International theaters incorporate water movements on stage and in the background, alongside lighting effects and video displays. These elements are managed through small digital centers that facilitate various techniques and methods for scene design. The scope of the research was confined to temporal boundaries, spatial constraints, and Iraqi theater. The core sections of the study address the concept of pragmatics and its significance, the concept of digital scene and pragmatics within theatrical performance. The third chapter outlined the research procedures and the research community, focusing on performances presented at Baghdad International Theater Festival from 2010 to 2017 AD. The research sample was selected using the purposive sampling method (Arabana play).
