Manifestations of the housing deficit in the city of Khalis for the year 2022

Abstract
The most important manifestations resulting from the housing deficit in the city of Khalis were represented by residential encroachments, the fragmentation of the housing unit and its modification internally or externally, and residential mobility as independent solutions by the residents of the city due to the high prices of land in the city and the high prices of residential units and rental allowances. In light of the conclusions, the researcher presented some proposals that contribute In solving or reducing the severity of the housing deficit in the city, the most prominent of which is that this global problem requires looking at the solutions reached by some countries and taking from them, and it is necessary to benefit from the studies presented by the experiences of university professors, economists and engineers. It is also necessary when distributing residential plots of land to take into account middle-income people and increase the government’s housing contribution, as increasing the allocation and distribution of land leads to a decrease in its prices in the city, in addition to paying attention to the countryside adjacent to the city, providing job opportunities and services, and placing restrictions on the import of agricultural materials to compete with local agriculture.
