American Educational Activity in Palestine and Its Impact on Ottoman-American relations (1841-1914)

Abstract
Many recent studies have tracked international relations between foreign countries and the Ottoman Empire and demonstrated their impact on both sides and what methods these countries, including the United States of America, used to penetrate the Ottoman Empire, especially in the 19th. century. Education was one of the most prominent ways in which the United States of America, by establishing schools in the Levant in general and in Palestine in particular, tried to use it as a means of penetrating the region. Religious minorities, especially Egyptian minorities, as well as other communities, were their starting point in Palestine and the rest of the Levant. The importance of education in the lives of all and because of the neglect of the Ottoman Empire, foreign countries, including the United States of America, began to establish modern schools, which played a major role in building modern Arab thought. So the subject was chosen to know the role of the United States of America.
