The Geographical Pillars Affecting in Sports and Their Role in Choosing Basra Governorate to Host Gulf 25

Abstract
Natural and human geographical pillars played a major role in choosing Basra Governorate to host the Gulf 25, due to its location at the head of the Arabian Gulf, which is the pillar of interaction with the Gulf states and the world, which gave it great importance from a political, economic and social standpoint. Its location at the head of the Gulf also gave it the characteristic of a desert climate, which is similar to the climate of the Gulf countries, which helps the teams participating in the tournament to adapt to the climate of Basra easily, in addition to the water resources represented by the waters of the Arabian Gulf, which facilitate the process of transporting the fans and teams participating in the tournament to Basra Governorate, and its major role in meeting the needs of sports facilities.
Basra Governorate has a large population size that helped it host the championship, organize it at a high level, and employ its resources to serve sports games. In addition, Basra Governorate includes a human group linked by common national ties with the Gulf countries, such as the language, common history, religion, and Arab traditions, which has strengthened its presence in the region.
