الملخص
تعد مخاطر التصحر من أخطر المشكلات البيئية وقد أصبحت من أخطر التحديات التي تواجهها الإنسانية في هذا القرن . لذا تعد مخاطر التصحر من الظواهر الجغرافية ذات الشأن التي تتطلب عناية كبيرة من الباحثين ولاسيما : الجغرافيون لأنهم يعنون أكثر من غيرهم بالعلاقة بين البيئة الجغرافية والإنسان ([i]). وتؤثر الظواهر المناخية بشكل واضح على زيادة مستويات التصحر من خلال تدهور الغطاء النباتي وكذلك التربة نتيجة تعرضها للتعرية سواء الريحية او المائية
